TCPS - Spring Chess Club

Description

Students will learn new Chess skills in a fun and engaging learning environment, and practice these skills with each other before competing in a tournament with prizes at the end of the 8-class session. • Session Dates: Apr 9th - June 4th (No class on May 28th due to Conference Day) • Time: Wednesdays from 3:15 PM to 4:15 PM • Grade Levels: Kindergarten through 8th grade • Skill Levels: From beginners to advanced players, everyone is welcome! During the Chess Session, students will learn: ♟️ To build on their fundamental Chess knowledge ♟️ Piece vision and tactics (Pins, Forks, etc.) ♟️ Foundational attacking and defending strategy ♟️ Essential Endgame strategy
